Casa Placencia Ecotique Resort began as home for expat, Jacki Tipton in 1997 who designed & built this property with beauty, comfort & ecological living in mind. After first building the two, second floor apartments, it was an easy decision to gradually expand to accommodate 16+ guests in three- one & two bedroom apartments for weekly & longer visits and four-garden rooms for drop ins or shorter stays.
Stunningly furnished with original paintings, prints & carvings from Belize & Guatemala, all accommodations provide quiet air con, 24/7 wifi, flat screen cable tv, refrigerator, coffeemaker, cotton linens and private tiled bathrooms.
Reasonably priced garden rooms are perfect for travelers on a budget who want all the amenities or groups of friends who prefer separate rooms.
Custom designed apartments with fully equipped kitchens, many include dishwashers & ice makers and full-size bath tubs which are not common in Belize. Quality US made furnishings, as well as custom made in Belize by Mennonites, Creoles, Mayans & Garifuna, complete the interior tranquil setting with colorful flora & fauna, outside. Honeymooners, couples travelling together who prefer ensuite accommodations for privacy, and families with children 12 & over choose these apartments. Expats & Belizeans coming home to retire after working abroad and looking for a safe & diverse community often stay at Casa Placencia while building their forever homes.
Located in a quiet & secure neighborhood surrounded by tropical trees, plants & flowers, Casa Placencia offers distant sunrise views over the Caribbean sea & dramatic sunset lagoon views with a Maya mountain background. Take a short walk to beautiful beaches or ride your bike to nearby shops, bars, restaurants & tour operators. Spend the evening listening to live music on the beach, returning home for a tranquil night's rest.
Take a refreshing dip in small above-ground pool or do morning yoga on spacious deck. All guests receive complimentary bicycles to explore & get around with use of kayaks & custom BBQ to cook their catch!
Ms Jacki, Arturo & Orlando welcome guests with fresh baked pastries and on occasion, bananas, pineapple, papaya, mangoes & coconuts from her nearby organic farm, Ageable Acres.
